SBLA has been asked to reimagine the lush landscape surrounding the legendary Peninsula Hotel, nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills. Situated above a subterranean garage undergoing phased refurbishment, the 3-acre property will undergo a complete transformation, replacing nearly all existing trees and plantings with a vibrant, fragrant, and texturally rich new plant palette. Guests will find themselves enveloped in gardens that create a sense of serene escape—an homage to the tranquil luxury that defines the Peninsula experience. The updated streetscape along Santa Monica Boulevard and the refurbished motor court enhances the hotel’s entrance, while the new gardens surrounding the Villas and Conference Center evoke the glamour and verdant splendor of Beverly Hills, thoughtfully designed with water-wise plantings. Our vision extends to the rooftop Pool Terrace, where new gardens, lighting, and pavilions will soon elevate the space into an extraordinary urban retreat.
